Our Promise

We built Memflect because we needed a safe space for our own thoughts. We believe your memories and voice are sacred. Unlike "Big Tech" platforms, we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data for ad revenue. You are the customer, not the product.

What Data We Collect

Email Address - Required to create your account and send you your reflection audio.

Memory Text - The written reflection you provide in the form (what you remember, how it made you feel, why it matters, what you want to be reminded of). This text is used to generate your personalized script.

Voice Recording - A short voice sample where you read a pre-written mantra. This is used solely to clone your voice for your reflection audio.

Payment Information - Processed securely by Stripe (we never see your full card number).

Usage Data - Basic analytics like which soundscapes you choose and when you create reflections (used to improve the product).

We do NOT collect: browsing history across other sites, contacts, photos, location data, or any data unrelated to creating your reflections.

Your Voice & Reflections

You provide a brief voice recording of a pre-written mantra, which we use to clone your voice. This cloned voice then narrates your personalized reflection based on the memory text you provided. We do not use your voice data to train public AI models or for any purpose other than creating your personal reflection. Your voice and memories stay within your private reflection loop.

Third-Party Services We Use

To provide Memflect's core features, we work with trusted service providers:

ElevenLabs - Voice cloning technology. Your voice recording of the mantra is sent to ElevenLabs to create your AI voice clone. ElevenLabs processes audio according to their privacy policy and does not use your voice for model training.

OpenAI (GPT-4) - Generates your reflection script based on the memory text you provide (what you remember, how it made you feel, etc.). We send your text input to OpenAI to create personalized narratives. OpenAI does not use your data to train their models.

Stripe - Payment processing. When you purchase the extended version, Stripe securely handles your payment. We never see or store your full credit card details. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data.

AWS S3 - File storage. Your audio files are stored encrypted on Amazon Web Services servers. AWS provides enterprise-grade security and encryption.

Postmark - Transactional emails. We use Postmark to send you purchase confirmations and magic login links. Your email is only used for account-related messages, never marketing.

All service providers are contractually required to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.

Private by Default

Your recordings and memory text are encrypted in storage. We have designed the system so that your reflections are yours alone. If you delete a reflection or your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our servers.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data (view what we have)
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your reflections
• Opt out of analytics cookies
