Our Promise
We built Memflect because we needed a safe space for our own thoughts. We believe your memories and voice are sacred. Unlike "Big Tech" platforms, we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data for ad revenue. You are the customer, not the product.
What Data We Collect
Email Address — Required to create your account and send you your reflection audio.
Memory Text — The written reflection you provide (what you remember, how it made you feel, why it matters, what you want to be reminded of). Used to generate your personalised script.
Voice Recording — A short voice sample where you read a pre-written script. Used solely to clone your voice for your reflection audio.
Payment Information — Processed securely by Stripe (we never see your full card number).
Usage Data — Basic analytics like which soundscapes you choose (used to improve the product).
We do NOT collect: browsing history, contacts, photos, location data, or anything unrelated to creating your reflections.
Your Voice & Reflections
You provide a brief voice recording which we use to clone your voice. This cloned voice then narrates your personalised reflection. We do not use your voice data to train public AI models or for any purpose other than creating your personal reflection. Your voice and memories stay within your private reflection loop.
Third-Party Services We Use
ElevenLabs — Voice cloning. Your voice recording is sent to ElevenLabs to create your AI voice clone. They do not use your voice for model training.
OpenAI (GPT-4) — Generates your reflection script based on your memory text. OpenAI does not use your data to train their models.
Stripe — Payment processing. We never see or store your full card details.
AWS S3 — File storage. Your audio files are stored encrypted on Amazon Web Services servers.
Postmark — Transactional emails only. Your email is never used for marketing.
All service providers are contractually required to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.
Private by Default
Your recordings and memory text are encrypted in storage. If you delete a reflection or your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our servers.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
• Access your data (view what we have)
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your reflections
• Opt out of analytics cookies
